My dishwasher was recalled by maytag. Should I choose free repair of the unit or $75 toward a new one? - maytag appliance repair
The dishwasher is approximately 5 years and good works. The purchase of a new unit would be installed at around $ 400 plus labor to. Not sure if a device and a half to get a new, but spend almost $ 400 in total.

Make repairs. I have repaired over 20 of these units and found nothing really wrong with one of them. The repair kit is very complete and the problem of potential wiring to solve.
If the machine is working fine, does not bother to get a new one. Make the repair.

Compensation limits. Dishwashers are designed to last 15 to 20 years. They all are $ 75 for the installation cost and then still so sure you're not really saving anything.
